About Us
Our School Aims and Values
At Sunning Hill Primary, we instil self-belief and promote independence that allows children to become aspirational and committed, life-long learners. Our journey together provides our children with opportunities to learn and grow and encourages them to be curious about the world.
Our children are encouraged to take responsibility for themselves, show resilience and be proud of who they are so they flourish within society. All achievements are celebrated to reward success, inspire ambition and nurture self-esteem.
Our Sunning Hill family works together to ensure our children are happy, kind, charitable and respectful. All children are given equal opportunities to reach their full potential. We provide a supportive, secure environment where children feel safe to take risks and learn from their mistakes.
These foundations provide a strong base for building a bright future together ensuring equality for all.
Our School
We are a large, two-form entry primary school, with approximately 525 pupils on roll. We have our own nursery for children between the ages of two and four which offers full and part time provision. Click here for more information about our nursery
We have developed our Victorian building and grounds to create a bright, engaging learning environment with purpose built play spaces for all of our children. We have an offsite play area for our eco and outdoor school activities.
Our school is at the centre of the community and the majority of our pupils follow the muslim faith. We celebrate diversity through our promotion of British Values and our school ethos. We are committed to removing barriers to learning and overcoming disadvantage in order to facilitate success for every child.
Relationships are at the heart of everything we do and we are rooted in a strong sense of belonging. We encourage our families to speak to us if they have any concerns or need any support so that we can offer help and sign post parents to appropriate agencies.
