Nursery

At Sunning Hill we provide nursery provision for children aged between 2 and 4 years of age. Our desire to ensure that every child achieves their full potential is at the forefront of every interaction that we have with our children. Our nursery staff have considerable early years experience and we are keen to fully support you and your child.

Please let us know if you have any worries or concerns, we value close relationships with our parents and encourage all parents to join in their child’s nursery experience.

Nursery Places

• Two-year-old places are based on eligibility. If you need any assistance to check this please contact the main school office.
• 15 hour places for two and three-year-old children are free of charge for the majority of children. Parents can choose either 15 hours in the morning or 15 hours in the afternoon.
• We offer 30-hour places for working parents in both of our nursery two and nursery three units, subject to eligibility and availability. There are three options available to parents:- 
  • Option 1 - Our standard free offer is 30 hours of provision, 8.30am to 2.30pm daily.
  • Option 2 - 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Thursday, & 8.30am to 2.30pm on Friday, at a cost of £24 per week - This equates to 34 hours of provision, an additional hour from 2.30pm to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday.
  • Option 3 - 8.30am to 11.30am. Parents collect their child and take them home for lunch.  Pupils then return for the afternoon sessions 12.15pm to 3.30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 12.30pm to 2.30pm on Friday.
  • Parents can choose to provide a packed lunch or you can purchase a school meal and snacks through the MCAS parent app.

• We also offer a small number of paid places if you do not meet the current funding critiera. The cost is £95.00 per week for 15 hours (mornings or afternoons).

We encourage all parents to add their child’s name to our waiting list from birth, we will contact you the term before they are eligible for a place. Please visit the school office for an application form. Parents are welcome to visit the setting and meet the staff.
